Nuestra historia

Me siento muy afortunada de que mi familia me crió amando la naturaleza, la playa y las aventuras. En mi vida siempre han existido dos grandes amores: la música y la playa. La playa, siendo uno de mis grandes amores, se refleja en la forma en que vivo mi vida, en mis valores e incluso en la manera en que me visto. Creciendo en la isla (Puerto Rico), el mundo del surfing siempre fue algo que me fascinaba; gracias a mi papá surfista, estuve rodeada de ese ambiente. También me encantaban las películas de nenas surfistas; me inspiraba la forma en que vivían sus vidas, su espiritú libre y la manera en que se vestían. En mi primer año de universidad tuve que crear una idea hipotética de un negocio. Yo ya tenía otros planes para mi futuro que no involucraban esto, así que decidí crear la idea de una tienda. Con el tiempo me di cuenta de que, inconscientemente, estaba creando la tienda de mis sueños: una tienda que, si yo visitara, no quisiera salir de ella. Me enamoré del concepto y, con la mentoría y el apoyo de mis profesores, me comprometí a convertirlo en una realidad. A través de Masis quiero compartir mi estilo de vida. Quiero que nuestros productos puedan acompañar sus vidas llenas de agua salá', risas, arena, música, amor, atardeceres, aventuras por las montañas, libertad y paz. Este es solo el comienzo de Masis.

Our Story

I feel very fortunate that my family raised me with a love for nature, the beach, and adventure. In my life, there have always been two great passions: music and the beach. The beach, being one of my greatest loves, is reflected in the way I live my life, in my values, and even in the way I dress. Growing up on the island of Puerto Rico, the world of surfing always fascinated me; thanks to my dad, who is a surfer, I was surrounded by that lifestyle. I also loved watching movies about girl surfers; I was inspired by the way they lived their lives, their free spirit, and the way they dressed. During my first year of college, I had to create a hypothetical business idea for a class. At the time, I already had other plans for my future that didn’t involve this, so I decided to create the idea of a store. Over time, I realized that I was unconsciously creating the store of my dreams, a store that, if I visited, I would never want to leave. I fell in love with the concept and, with the mentorship and support of my professors, I committed to turning it into a reality. Through Masis, I want to share my lifestyle. I hope our products can accompany lives filled with salty water, laughter, sand, music, love, sunsets, mountain adventures, freedom, and peace. This is only the beginning of Masis.
